Kennel Assistant
Wallylama Kennel Wallylama Kennel Sharpsburg, GA Sharpsburg, GA Part-time Part-time $12 - $13 an hour $12 - $13 an hour 1 day ago 1 day ago 1 day ago We are a privately owned kennel located in Sharpsburg, GA, and we are currently looking for help approximately 2 days a week (typically Tuesday and Thursday), and weekends as needed.
Hours would be 8:
00 AM to 5:
00 PM with a one-hour lunch break at noon.
Starting pay is $12/hour with the possibility of earning more as you progress in the job.
Duties include:
-Feeding animals -Waste management -Keeping the kennel clean and disinfected -Bathing, grooming, nail trimming (will train) -Dog training (potty training, show training, etc.
) -Exercising dogs inside and outside -Supervise play and manage dogs -Assist in administration of vaccines and medications -Assist kennel manager at dog shows -Transporting animal to the vet Our ideal candidate would have Attention to detail Organizational skills Excellent time management Ability to multitask Ability to stand for up to 5 hours at a time, run with dogs, and lift up to 45 lbs.
Availability to work weekends (as needed) Has own form of transportation, and is willing to transport pets in it Work schedules can vary depending on upcoming shows and puppy litter plans, but will be scheduled at least two weeks in advance.
Open Availability is a plus.
